Urban Static Medical Units

With the need to address the detected patients from the primary rural screenings to require Specialty Consultations, Sri Sathya Sai Amrutham, Centres for Speciality Out Patient Care was inaugurated on the 25th February , 2017, which till date to offered 10583 Completely Free of Cost consultations and diagnostic services across the disciplines of Pediatrics, Cardiac, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, Dermatology , Gynecology, and General Medicine for the people of West Bengal and North Eastern States.

Specialty Consultations - The Static Unit has been functional as a referral centre involving post graduate practitioners in diversified disciplines. The centre has been as a base for all the activities of the Trust in the Hub & Spoke model with its Medical Records Department involving technology & innovations to facilitate surgical assistance with higher centres across the nation completely free of cost. The trust with its vision to make specialty consultation more intensified and accessible for the rural population in guidelines with the National Rural Health Mission intends to have a block wise approach in each district.

Rural Static Medical Units -

recently commenced in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand has been able to offer 380 Consultations. This is the beginning of an initial conceptualization of Rural Specialised Outpatient care to curb the drop out of the rural referrals to Urban Specialty OPD.

Tele Medicine -

Diagnosed and Detected Patients seeking Surgical assistance have been connected through Tele Medicine for guidance and counseling of patients with Surgeons & Medical Practitioners. It is with the success in facilitating Pediatric Cardiac Surgeries from Kolkata with 62 sessions, the Trust in collaboration with the District Hospital, East Singbhum had set up a Tele Medicine facility for the Pediatric OPD in Jharkhand in September 2019. Till date with 86 sessions in total 23 Children were facilitated with free of cost surgeries through tele medicine.

In furtherance to take quality free of cost health at every doorstep with technology, the trust had made a pilot project in Sunderban in early 2019 and is now exploring the possibilities of connecting its spokes with Telemedicine at all Rural Static Units with its central Command Centre at Kolkata.
